Daniel Lee Stratman, 56, passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 7, 1955 in Huntingburg, IN, to Thelma and Joseph Stratman. Danny graduated from Larkin High School in 1973. Following graduation, he moved to Fort Collins, CO, where he made his home of 39 years. Danny was a friend to many and a member of Local # 68 IBEW. He was an avid fisherman, and known on the waters as “Fishing with the Hippie”.
Danny is preceded in death by his twin brother, Randy, his brother, Kevin, and his father, Joseph.
He leaves behind his mother, Thelma, sister and brothers, Cindy (Roger) Warner and their children, Cassie and Kevin; Darrell (Donna) Stratman and their son, Dakota; and Michael Stratman and his son, Tyler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. An open house memorial gathering for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2-5:00 P.M. at the home of Cindy and Roger Warner, 9N974 Trails End, Elgin IL 60124.
