 Anne E DeDobbelaere, 57, of Elgin passed away on October 24, 2017, when she was hit by a car, crossing Wing St., at 7:00 AM, on a rainy, dark morning. She is the lovely daughter of Maureen (Sullivan) and Bob DeDobbelaere; sister of: Tim (Luz), Jay, Matt (Joan), Joe (Joni); 1 Niece and 7 Nephews: Ryan, Jack, Adam, Max, Kevin, Will, Sammy and Meg.

She has had many accomplishments in her youthful career. At the World Games in Alaska, in the 3 1/2 Mile Cross Country Snow Ski Race, Anne won the Gold Medal, in 2001. She was grand Marshall at the Elgin 2001, 4th of July parade, and was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement award from the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame.

Anne attended the Bartlett Learning Center and had bagged groceries at Jewel Foods on Larkin Ave, for28 years, never missing a scheduled day of Work.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, and on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the mass.
